All is set at Barifa Stadium for this year's Uganda Athletics Federation Regional Competition due tomorrow Saturday 29th May 2021 from 8:30 am to 4:30pm.

This Confirmation was made by The Athletics Chairperson at MAYANK, Mr Sam Igama Adrapi in company of other two MAYANK Technocrats Mr Matua Jackson & Mr Alua Issa Shaban who also doubles as a Coach & Delegate from Koboko this afternoon while addressing a Press Conference in Bamboo Village within Arua City.

While Speaking to the Press, Mr Sam Igama The Chairperson noted that, This Year's event that is being sponsored by Mtn Uganda is so Special since they could not host that of last year due to the outbreak Covid-19 Pandemic that brought the world on it's Knees.

He further Explained that MAYANK which stands for formulation of District representing Westnile like (Moyo Arua Yumbe Adjumani Nebbi Koboko) was formed in 2008 from Paridi Stadium - Adjumani with objectives of District Cohesions, Tasking Challenges of moving long distances to Kampala or Bugembe Stadium in Jinja for such Competitions & also to Spot/Identify Talents in Westnile since it is the Power House of sports in Uganda.

Mr Alua on his part said, " This year's Competition which is a National Event but hosted Regionally was supposed to be in Maracha District for Westnile Region but has since been shifted to Arua because Maracha as a District still lacks the standard facilities.

Mr Matua Who is a Technocrat & also a Secondary School Teacher by Profession assured the Public that, Tomorrow's event which will be Cash Awarded is Free of Charge & Participation is open for all apart from physically challenged people.

Westnilexpozed.com has learnt that, Individual Cash Prizes will be 30,000/= For Winners, 20,000/= for Runner-up & 10,000/= for 2nd Runner-up.

The Organizers have since asked the General public to come Embrace, Support & have fun as They expect close to Ten Westnile Districts to send Participants in Tomorrow's Trek & Feel Race which will include sprint 100M Sprint, 200M Sprint, 400M Sprint, 800M Middle Distance, 1,500M, 5,000M, 4x100M Riley, 4x400M Riley & Field categories of Long Jump, Triple Jump, Short-put, Discus & Javelin coupled with Entertainment from different Westnile Artists as they Expect the District Sports Officer to Flag off & Close the Competition.
