Nebbi Resident District Commissioner, Mr Christopher Omara has issued a strong warning to idle youths on Nebbi streets.
Omara who was transferred from Kitgum to Nebbi district a few months back says, he is tired of seeing idle able youths on the streets of Nebbi always engaging in taxing others as a way of survival.
He has now issued an arrest warrant to any youth got idle and putting their personal problems on the shoulders of those who come to Nebbi town to do business by begging small small monies from them to survive.
Omara cautioned the youths to work hard and stop this kind of begging cultures regardless of the unemployment claims, saying his team won’t fall for such but rather arrest whoever is got in the act.
We still don’t know how he will handle this issue since the big man, H.E Yoweri Museveni overruled such cases of Police arresting people on charges of being idle and disorderly last year… and called upon the Police to stop arresting idle youths.
