Axar Warchild & Living Generations Launch

Teso Born, Arua Based Singer & Songwriter Warchild Axar in Partnership with Living Generations West Nile, a 2019 registered youth-led organization dedicated to working towards social transformation through impacting knowledge, skills, creating awareness, and reaching out to youths have Organised a campaign dubbed “Off the Streets” Campaign Aimed at Creating Public Awareness about the ever growing number of street Children in Arua City.

 

 

While hinting on the Campaign,  Mr Adriko Francis aka Junior Jeff, The Project Manager said; Living Generations who he Co-Founds is dedicated to promoting awareness about issues that plague the community & as a Result,  they are so proud to partner with the rising artist who is very conscious about the improvement of the community and they look forward to seeing this campaign to the end.

 

 

"As we encourage other partners to join us in molding a way forward for children in Arua city and West Nile at large, We shall In addition to the online campaigns and the community outreaches hold a fundraising dinner at a later date with the aim of supporting the locals who are directly impacting in the lives of children living or working on the streets in Arua” – Mr Francis Said 

 

 

 

West Nile Xpozed Media Ltd has learnt that; The main objective of this campaign is to document the magnitude of children working on the streets of Arua city through a baseline survey which will work as a database upon which other stakeholders can base further interventions.

 

 

 

Warchild Axar who dropped his first album “The Warchild” said, The situation in Arua city is quite unique since most of the children have homes they go back to at the end of the day though they spend most of their day times on the streets, something that should worry all.

 

 

The album that was received with love and much appreciation and later won him Teens Awards 2020 for the Category of Regional Artist of the Year for Eastern Uganda held in Kampala in 2020 is Dedicated to Victims of Gender-based Violence.
