A renowned singer Lb Sweaz shocks fans and industry insiders alike with a sudden shift in direction. Sweaz's decision to halt the production of his highly anticipated album "Outside the Box" and preferably focus on a new project titled "We Rise," which features young and emerging artists, raises eyebrows.
"This new Album 'We Rise' will serve as a collaborative grind between Sweaz and a carefully selected group of talented young artists from various musical backgrounds. The album will feature a diverse range of genres, reminiscing the multifaceted essence of today's music landscape"
The 'Must' hit maker adds that the conclusion to shift gears came as a wish to provide a platform for young talent and foster the next wave of homegrown talent. He reveals the track list below;
1. Silingi ft Small rapper, 2. Nyijo ft Dan Hype, 3. Nyo indee ft Gimaxy, 4. Nyatugutugu ft Maya Keys, 5.Cal peri ft king Jery Icon 6.Sirr ft Dj Phally.
Yet, in his first Album, Sweaz had only released one single.
"The Outside Box is still taking more years to be completed, I released only “Pi NGO" but I have songs ready like 3". He notes.
He further notes that Outside the Box Album will see mega unions with top artists across the country.
"Outside Box will only be for big collaboration across many districts in and outside northern Uganda," he told this publication.
Think of last year, when Lb had finalized an audio project dubbed Nimuyeng ft Eezzy. (They seized the project halfway when Izzy was allegedly attacked by unknown gangsters in the KLA.
Since his breakthrough in 2020, Lb Sweaz has been known for his mastery of pressing limits and challenging rooted norms.
He believes that the future of music lies in the hands of these young artists, by providing them with platforms to express themselves, he expects to inspire a new wave of creativity and innovation within the industry.
