Last night was not an usual night for the Langi based artist-Okeng Born Town.
Okeng was given the biggest disappointment blow of his life as fans and the promoter Maddekke forcecfully refused him to perform by turning off the mic on him when he stepped on stage.
The Promoter claimed Okeng punished him by increasing his booking fare( increase his money by Ugx 500,000 on top of the agreed 1million making it to 1.5million )at the last minute not as agreed before after seeing a big crowd.
So turn off the mic to disallow him before to his fans was a better way to pay Okeng back for his sins.
It is said, Okeng had to seat on stage for over 10 minutes with the mic off before fans chased him off stage.
“Acholi people is this how we treat your artists when they come to Lira for music shows!” these were the last words from Okeng Born Town as he left Da Link Gardens stage.
