Hon Florence Nakiwala Kiyinji has stepped in advising him to stop performing and rather stay in school.
Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyinji, the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda, has warned anyone dealing in booking and ensuring that Fresh Kid performs at several events instead of keeping him in school.
Despite his managers constantly stating that the artist is a pupil in Primary Three, Hon. Nakiwala warns that he should not be used for their financial gains.
She states that Senyonjo Patrick a.k.a Fresh Kid should not be exploited to make money because that puts him in a position of child labor which is against the laws of the nation and its citizens.
Those that book Fresh Kid’s services are also bound to be punished according to Hon. Nakiwala.
She, henceforth, warns anyone dealing with Fresh Kid – his managers, booking agents, and even his fans – to stand warned because they risk falling victim to the violation of laws against Child Labor.
In the Ugandan constitution, there are laws that regulate the children of the nation. It prohibits child labor for any child between 0 to 18 years of age.
