Joanitah D Gyal has urged parents to prioritize the education of girls to foster strong leadership in Nebbi and the greater West Nile.
"I understand the challenges of paying tuition, but as parents, we must strive to educate our children, especially the girls," she stated.
The "This Year" Hitmaker made this call in Nebbi at the Mayor's Gardens yesterday during a homecoming event (where she performed) for the newly appointed Minister of State Energy and Mineral Development, Hon. Nyamutoro Phiona.
She emphasized that Hon. Phiona serves as an inspiration to both parents and youths.
"Nyamutoro is something special to us, the youth; she is an inspiration to us," She Said.
Joanitah also noted that Nyamutoro's appointment will empower women in Alur, and the entire northern Uganda allowing them to hold their heads high.
Furthermore, she encouraged parents not to neglect their daughters who become pregnant while in school.
"Please do not ignore them, take them back to school as well, they need to achieve their dreams, it's not too late!"
The Self-proclaimed 'West Nile Galo!' captivated the audience with a powerful performance at the event, sharing the stage with artists such as Riaso Boy and WoJock Decorda among others.
Ugandan President H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni appointed Nyamutoro Phiona, the National Female Youth MP for Northern Uganda, in the recent cabinet reshuffle.
