In a short interview with Westnilexpozed this evening, the newly elected president of West Nile Musicians Association Limited, Jawotho Cissey James alias Jay Jagz revealed that, the UGX 110,000,000 (One Hundred Ten Million Ugandan Shillings) the association received from mother association, Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF)  will be handled with a lot of iron hands.

Jay said there will be terms and conditions for accessing the money which is a revolving fund supposed to support artists across West Nile region, from Pakwach to Adjumani, Arua, Koboko, Maracha, Terego, Madi-Okollo, Moyo, Nebbi, Yumbe, Zombo, and Obongi.

The first condition is that, whoever wants to access the money must be a full member who has paid his or her subscription fee to any of the small unit associations in West Nile region, like GRAMA, GAMA and the rest….and must have been actively saving with those small unit associations.

The money is not free as such; it will be given out as a secured loan to members at an interest rate of 5% for a period of one year.

Every applicant will apply for such loans from their various associations where they have subscribed, and their loan limits will be determined by their savings after which they will be asked for security for the loan.

He and his executives are currently planning to get an official physical location to run the operations of West Nile Musicians Association for the next 5 years of his tenure in office.

However, when asked about the online noise by Wojok Dekoda over his election, Jay said Dekoda should wait for his time; him as Jay Jagz won’t give his attention to none productive issues, his only focus at the moment is driving the association and making West Nile music greater than other regions of Uganda.
