The latest news reaching our desk indicates that Winnie ‘Nwagi’ Nakanwagi and her manager are on the wanted list of the Uganda Police after one promoter opened a case against the two for failing to show up for his event after he had paid them some ka money.
A promoter identified as Ssendagire reveals that he booked Winnie Nwagi to perform alongside Da Agent and Da New Eagles singers at a show in Kyotera on 24th August 2019.
He claims that when he visited the Swangz Avenue offices in Industrial Area, Nwagi’s manager asked for Shs 3.8M. He paid Shs 1.9M upfront as a booking fee and remained with Shs 1.9M as balance pending payment upon performance but was shocked when all other artistes he booked showed up apart from Winnie.
Ssendagire produced the agreement on which he signed with Gonzaga who represents Winnie Nwagi.
The promoter has now opened a case against Winnie and her manager with the police for stealing his hard-earned money.
