Arua Media Team, A Group of Arua Based Media Practitioners from Different Media Outlets i.e Radio, Print Media, Blogs & Websites through Its Executive Chairman has condemned a Barbaric act of Attack on one of its Own this week.

Sabir Musa, A Journalist from Arua Diocese Media Center Communication's Department in Radio Pacis was on Monday assaulted while on Duty by one Identified as Anguyo Lino while Covering a Demonstration involving Barifa Forest.

"He attacked me when his team of youths-protesting over give away of Barifa entered the forest; he threw my smart phone down and threatened to beat me, actually held my neck for taking pictures as a Journalist. Even though I was in my Press Jacket labelled Radio Pacis, He squizzed my neck and hit my hand with phone. It was Only him who acted violently, his colleagues tried to stop him but he had emotions even though It was the first time we met. My colleagues from Uganda Radio Network & Voice Of Life and I went there before the youths arrived and we had no idea that they were coming to the MP because We only went to have interview with Hon Oguzu Lee (MP for Maracha)'s side of the story to make a balanced story after attending a meeting at City Council Hall between National Physical Planning Board and leaders of Arua City Council" - Said Sabir Musa, The attacked Journalist While Talking to West Nile Xpozed Media Ltd today.

Through his Official Facebook Page, Andabati Yusuf aka Andy Opingopi, The Chairman Arua Media Team Condemned the Barbaric Act of Assault inflicted on a Journalist Performing a Noble Duty as Copied below:

This man in red circle called ANGUYO LINO assaulted a journalist Sabir Musa of Radio Pacis during the Barifa saga protest early this week in front of other media colleagues. He personally took away and threw his tools of work and went as far as physically feasting on his neck. We can not be quite on this matter when press freedom is being strangled. As media fraternity of Arua city we highly condemn this barbaric act of attacking a journalist doing a noble duty for this country. We therefore seek for apology from the team who organized the demonstration on barifa and bring Lino to book before we take any legal action against the individual or the group for assault on a journalist. Chairman Arua Media Team Opingopi Yusuf Andabati

We at West Nile Xpozed Media Ltd Ask for the Culrpit to be Brought to Book Immediately.
