Uganda’s most popular Facebook groups Mama Tendo might soon be no more as threats to close them come to pass.
From sources heard, it seems the government, through the chairperson of the Pornography Control Committee Dr Annette Kezaabu, is up to shut down the Facebook groups on accusations of spreading pornography materials.
Dr Kezaabu spoke to NTV Uganda on Wednesday morning saying her efforts to fight pornography has paid off by arresting administrators of groups such as Mama Tendo.
Mama Tendo has the largest Facebook members where information such as parenting tips, jobs, relationships, medicine, and so on are shared among members of the group.
No wonder the group has changed its settings from Open to Close, as away to restrict members from posting pornographic and misleading materials.
