The first match of the FUFA big league kicked off today with six games on card which all kicked off at 4pm.

The game between Paidha Black Angels and Kataka football club was called off in the 40’min due to heavy rain pours which made the referee call off the game and it is postponed on Friday 18^th Oct 2019 at 10am.

This game ended when the score line was 1-1 with the home team getting the lead in 17^’ min from a set piece taken by Dickens Okwir and in 26’min Kataka Fc gets an equalizer after 13’min of play the rain falls heavily and the referee calls off the game.   

On the other hand, Katwe united record a slim win in their first FUFA big league debut game against Light SS at Star times stadium, Lugogo.

This was after a barren first stanza of the game despite being dominated by ‘’TuliBanyivu’’ side a slogan which means ‘’we are annoyed ‘’. Katwe United got their solo goal through their defender Abdu Ssemwogerere in the 73’min which makes the team acquire their first win in the FUFA big league.

Katwe United travel to Katushabe Dove grounds on Sunday to face Savior Fc in their second fixture of the league

Speaking after the game, Hassan Mubiru katwe’s head coach heaped praises on his men for exhibiting what he described as beautiful football.

I am very happy pleased with the boys for displaying a beautiful and smarts play just as expected of course due to the thorough and committed preparations we had prior to the start of the league said Mubiru
