Little Miss Uganda West Nile Queen Davina Anyawarach is set to launch her new organization, “Echoes of Hope, Smile with Davina” on 27th August 2026 in Erussi Sub County - Nebbi District, marking an important milestone in her commitment to inspiring positive change and creating opportunities for young people and communities across the West Nile region.
The launch of “Echoes of Hope, Smile with Davina” will introduce the initiatives due for implementation to Government leaders, Development Partners, Civil Society Organizations, Corporate Institutions, Educational Stakeholders, Religious and Cultural Leaders, Media, Community members, and Vulnerable Children.
The event which is expected to attract over 1,000 participants and will showcase the project's vision, strategic direction, programs, and partnership opportunities.
Through the organization, Queen Davina seeks to empower vulnerable children with Practical agricultural knowledge and modern farming skills, Promote access to education through mentorship and educational support programs, Empower girls through life skills, leadership development, confidence building, and advocacy against teenage pregnancy, Promote awareness on child protection, reproductive health education, and keeping girls in school, Establish demonstration farms as practical learning centres for children and communities, Build confidence, leadership, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills among children and youth, Mobilize communities, partners, and stakeholders to support child-focused development programs as well as Promote sustainable livelihoods that reduce poverty and improve household resilience.
“The Echoes Of Hope” was founded in 2023 by Davina Anywarach, at the age of four after she visited her ancestral home in Erussi Sub-county, Nebbi District during a school holiday & was deeply moved by the challenges faced by vulnerable children, something that prompted her to begin gathering together children with the support of her parents to provide them meals, snacks, entertainment, encouragement, bringing hope and happiness to their lives.
The Pre-Launch activities that will kick off from 15th–25th August 2026 will feature School outreach programs in selected schools, Radio talk shows, Historical Community site visits, Girl child empowerment sessions and awareness campaigns on preventing teenage pregnancy, Town cleanliness and environmental conservation campaigns, Community mobilization and awareness drives, Fundraising and partnership engagement meetings, Media publicity and stakeholder engagement activities.
The project primarily targeting Vulnerable and disadvantaged children, orphans, school going children, Girls at risk of dropping out of school, teenage parents & Youth interested in agriculture during the launch will among other activities feature Presentation of the project vision, programs, and implementation strategy, Speeches, Agricultural innovation and demonstration exhibitions, Educational and mentorship sessions for children and youth, Talent Search Competition, Cultural Performances, Heritage Displays, Entertainment among others.
