The political atmosphere in Zombo district has been sent into panic mode after talks in the corridors suggest that young aspiring politician Kumakech Sam is drawing a lot of attention from the community ahead of 2026 elections.
The corridor talk reveals that, Sam is receiving many people endorsing him to contest again in 2026 against the currently Member of Parliament (MP) for Zombo, Hon. Okumu Gabriel.
Sam first showed his political interest in the same position with intent to lead the people of Zombo in 2021 but failed in the NRM primaries level. He had to take a chill pill and let winner contest in the general election.
However, the current situation in the district, suggest that many people are endorsing Sam to run in 2026; they see him as the best ambitious young leader to steer Zombo into the future.
Kumakech Sam holds huge influence within the youths in district and the surrounds; his influence cut across cultural, entertainment, religion, entrepreneurship and sports, he is regarded the God Father of the inspirations in the youth space in the district.
Being a hard core NRM member, we look forward to seeing which political party he will be endorsed under for 2026 elections.
