Arua Students Blessed With Internet Safety Training

Arua has been blessed with lots of things but none of them has ever been timely as the training the students around Arua got on Monday 24th June 2019.
 
The internet society, Uganda chapter took it to bless the students from schools like Mvara SS, Muni Girls SS, St Josephs College Ombaci and Arua Public SS with how to be safe online and also be ambassadors of the society in their various schools and locality.
 
Hannah, a form six student from Muni Girls SS appreciated the organizers of the event and called for the participants to take the knowledge learnt into consideration.
 
"I am grateful for this timely information and hopefully I call upon all the successful participants to consider the skills learnt and be ambassadors out there," she said.
Caleb Joshua from the host school Mvara SS also thanked the timely training and called upon the public to take issues of online privacy seriously.
 
"I thank the Internet Society, Uganda Chapter for the timely training they have brought to us," he said. "Cyber crimes are on the rise and this calls for every individual to take issues of online privacy and conduct seriously; remember today is the greatest reference of your tomorrow," he concluded.
 

the various participants were equipped with certificates and e-Safety Educational Toolkit for Young People in Uganda, among others.
