Hon. Basaalirwa was one of the six Members of Parliament who lost their Parliamentary seats after the Constitutional Court nullified their election on grounds that they contested for non-existing vacancies! However, Court faulted government and Electoral Commission!
He says he injected alot of money and time in the campaigns and even some people died during the elections so he wants to be compensated with UGX5bn!
According to Hon. Basalirwa, Court made its judgment without hearing their side because the petitioner Eddie Kwizera sued government and electoral commission!
He adds that you can’t condemn someone unheard because even a murderer is first heard before being judged!
